1. Data We Collect

GhostTab AI does not collect any personal or identifying information. Everything you configure in the extension — such as tab limits, Pomodoro settings, themes, or your optional API key — is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure storage.

2. How It Works

• When you use AI features (summarize, rewrite, sentiment, etc.), GhostTab sends only the text you provide to our secure API endpoint (hosted on Cloud Run) to generate a response. We do not log or store your browsing history or any other personal data on our servers.
• The optional API key you enter (for OpenAI or Azure) is included in local storage and used only for authentication in requests from your browser to our backend. We never have access to it.

3. Permissions

GhostTab AI requests the following permissions:

• storage: to store your settings and Pomodoro log locally.
• tabs: to count open tabs for enforcing the tab limit.
• notifications: to show alerts and Pomodoro notifications.
• scripting, activeTab, contextMenus: for features like summarizing or rewriting page text via the popup or context menu.

4. No Tracking or Sharing

GhostTab AI does not use analytics, telemetry, or advertise. We never track you or share your data with third parties.
